What is the Americas Rallycross Track at Mid-Ohio?

The track is a 0.761-mile circuit running clockwise and features 60% sealed surface (asphalt) and 40% unsealed surface (dirt) with a jump along and a joker lap adding 0.0571 of a mile extension solely of asphalt. It will be located in the Keyhole of the historic Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.


What cars will race on this track?

ARX Supercars and ARX2 Lites are officially confirmed for two rounds at Mid-Ohio - June 8-9 then October 5-6.


When is it being built?
 

It starts this Sunday! The Mid-Ohio operations team will start the build Sunday evening and work until Thursday, May 23rd.


How much work is there to do?

Lots! Mid-Ohio will put in approximately 1,000 total labor hours for the construction which includes:

  • 2,000 yards of grass and dirt excavated 12” deep to create the unsealed track layout
  • 2,400 tons of gravel laid for the base layer of the unsealed track surface
  • 800 yards of dirt covering the unsealed track surface’s top layer
  • 1,300 yards of dirt used to build the jump
  • 300’ of concrete barriers positioned (30 – 10’ blocks)
  • 3,600 Cooper Tires placed for course barriers
