Seasons Approach Halfway at Mid-Ohio

Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) all near halfway in their 2025 seasons, as they unload at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend. FR Americas and Ligier JFC officially hit the midseason mark this weekend, while F4 U.S. is just one race shy, leaving Mid-Ohio with eight of its 18 rounds in the books. 

Trans Am Series Event Preview: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course 2025

The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli returns to action this weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for Round 6 of the 12-round 2025 season. The Trans Am Series has been racing at the Lexington, Ohio facility since 1967, with competitors taking the checkered flag 50 times in 58 years. The first event was won by Jerry Titus, who was also the fastest qualifier in that event. This weekend will see nearly 50 competitors take the green flag between the TA/XGT/SGT/GT/GT1 classes and the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series. The facility has seen a number of improvements since Trans Am last visited Ohio, including an extensive update around Turn 4 and the replacement of safety barriers and fencing in multiple places around the track.

MotoAmerica Talent Cup Classes to Run at Permco AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Presented by Turn 14 Distribution

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — America’s next generation of road racers will clash at Permco AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days presented by Turn 14 Distribution, as a round of the 2025 MotoAmerica Parts Unlimited Talent Cup will run on the famed road racing circuit at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

“We look forward to welcoming the best and brightest up-and-coming road racers to VMD this year with a round of the MotoAmerica Parts Unlimited Talent Cup to be run at the event,” AMA Director of Racing Mike Pelletier said. “We anticipate some thrilling competition on one of the best road racing circuits in the United States at Mid-Ohio.”

Aaron Quine Returning to Trans Am Series in Team Weaver TA Dodge Challenger

MEDINA, OH— June 13, 2025 – Aaron Quine will return to the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 21st, driving the Team Weaver TA Dodge Challenger.

This will be Quine’s 12th career Trans Am race, but his first time racing in TA. All of his previous starts have been in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series, and he’s excited for the opportunity to race in Trans Am’s top class.

Bold Moves in the Rain Earn Goulart First Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Win at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 8, 2025) – Rookie Ethan Goulart (No. 29 Saito Motorsports Group) put on a rain racing master class at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for Round Eight of the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin on Sunday. A three-wide pass on the final lap gave the 16-year-old his first race win in the series. The second-generation racer was joined on the podium by runner-up Nathan Nicholson (No. 56 Advanced Autosports) and Jeremy Fletcher (No. 22 McCumbee McAleer Racing) in third.
