O’Reilly Auto Parts also joins facility as season-long partner

LEXINGTON, Ohio (May 5, 2022) – O’Reilly Auto Parts has been announced as the title sponsor of the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (CWTS) event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, set for July 8-9, 2022. The 67-lap race covering 151 miles will be called the O’Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Mid-Ohio.

Ben Rhodes rallies past Hocevar, corrals Camping World Trucks win on Bristol dirt

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Overcoming a mistake in communication, Ben Rhodes charged to the front in the closing laps of Saturday’s Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt and snatched the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory from runner-up Carson Hocevar.

One circuit after the final restart on Lap 146 of 150, Rhodes, the defending series champion, buried his No. 99 ThorSport Racing Toyota into Turn 1, slid to the outside of third-place finisher John Hunter Nemechek and dived to the inside of Hocevar to take the lead.

Newgarden Keeps Penske Perfect With Long Beach Win

Josef Newgarden kept Team Penske unbeaten in three NTT INDYCAR SERIES races this season with his second consecutive win of 2022, capturing the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in a taut, three-way tussle under brilliant Southern California sunshine Sunday.

Newgarden earned his first career Long Beach victory in the No. 2 Hitachi Team Penske Chevrolet, holding off Romain Grosjean in the No. 28 DHL Honda and reigning series champion Alex Palou in the No. 10 NTT DATA Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. Grosjean tied a career best by finishing second, with Palou rounding out the podium finishers in third.

No. 01 Goes First to Last to First En Route to Long Beach Win

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Cadillac Racing’s 1-2 finish in the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach – the third round of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship – was anything but cut and dry.

“That was a little more difficult than it should have been,” admitted winning driver Sebastien Bourdais.

Bourdais, the fastest qualifier in the Daytona Prototype international (DPi) class and early race leader, slipped up just seven minutes into the 100-minute race while trying to lap a GTD class Porsche at the iconic hairpin of the Long Beach street course.
